Important Notice: Road Closure

Central Ave at Lemon Grove Ave Closed Starting on September 3, 2024

Central Ave at Lemon Grove Ave will close to westbound and eastbound vehicular traffic for Phase 1-2 of the Connect Main Street Project. The affected area will remain open to pedestrians. The road closure is projected to last for approximately 4 weeks. Detour routes will be indicated.

The purpose of the road closure is to provide for pavement and striping improvements around the MTS rail crossing, a sidewalk and an ADA ramp on the southwest side of Central Ave/Lemon Grove Ave, landscaping, and minor traffic signal modifications.

Construction crews will be grading, pouring, and forming curb and gutter between Central Ave and Burnell Ave.

March 11, 2024

One-way traffic control will be set up in the southerly direction on Main Street from Central Ave to Burnell Ave. Main Street northbound is closed from Burnell Ave to Central Ave.
Construction crews will mill asphalt to prepare the subgrade for public improvements
Construction crews will trench for utility installation
